TERESA WHITTER

Teresa is a Bermuda-born salsera who loves to laugh and grabs life by the horns. After recently leaving her tiny island home to travel Southeast Asia for two months, she relocated to London to follow her passion, in search of an around-the-clock salsa community in which to grow as a dancer and teacher. She taught Salsa, Bachata, Casino de Rueda and Ladies’ Styling  in Bermuda for eleven years, as well as overseeing the operations of two Latin dance schools, organising socials, and producing special events. Her classes are technically sound but also full of giggles and random jokes. She also loves to play with fire – literally. She was a fire performer for five years, and hopes to continue on in London. In 2014 she placed first with a Salsa Shines show at Bermuda So You Think You Can Dance. 

Teresa teaches salsa at all levels from beginners to advanced regularly for Incognito Dance Company at all their clubs in and around London, as well as ladies styling, shines and  musicality. You will find her regularly at Putney Salsa Club, Hammersmith Salsa Club, Wycombe Salsa Club, Twyford Salsa Club & Jazz Cafe Reading

Incognito Dance Company was established in 1999. It has some of the most experienced and qualified Latin Dance instructors and performers in Europe. Classes, courses  and workshops are for all levels from the total beginner to the highly skilled advanced dancer and performer.  Absolute beginners are warmly welcomed, no partners are required, the atmosphere is fun and friendly during the classes and freestyle social dancing.

Experienced dancers are given fun, technically challenging classes, and plenty of hours to social dance to the latest Latin music by our fabulous DJ’s.  We teach many Latin dance styles of salsa from LA Style, NY Style, Cuban and Puerto Rican, as well as Bachata, Kizomba, Cha Cha, Reggaeton, Latin Hip Hop, Merengue etc.
